CRAWFORD – SIMPSON – At House For An Art Lover, Bellahouston Park, Glasgow on Saturday, May 11, 2019, Andrew younger son of Jimmie and Lesley, Oban to Jo-Anna only daughter of Laurence and Anna, Whalsay, Shetland, a wonderful day enjoyed by all.


DUNN – McIVER – At Oban Old Parish Church on May 12, 1959 by the late Rev. Wm. MacDonald, Iain to Mairia.


ANGUS – Isobel (née MacMaster), formerly of Lynn Court, and 20 Lorn Avenue, Oban. Much loved mum, granny and great-granny. Passed away at home in Nottingham on April 23, 2019. Sorely missed.

CAMERON – Iain. Peacefully, at home on May 7, 2019, The Bodach, beloved husband of Margaret and much loved father of Morven. Funeral service took place on  Tuesday, May 14 at Luss. Family flowers only but donations, if desired, to Beatson Cancer Charity.

HARDEN – At the Lorn and Islands Hospital, Oban on May 11, 2019, aged 83, Shirley, beloved wife of the late Les, much loved mum to Denise and Barry and grandma to Liam, Callum, Tim and Sophia. Funeral will take place at Pennyfuir Cemetery, Oban on Monday, May 27 at 11.30 am.

JOHNSTONE – Peacefully at Lorn and Islands Hospital, Oban, after a short illness, on May 10, 2019, aged 58, Annie, dear wife of Mark. Sadly missed.

MACKAY – Suddenly at home, on April 28, 2019, Derek Neil MacKay, in his 48th year, of 18 Blarbuie Road, Lochgilphead, (former joiner at M & K MacLeod), beloved son of Margaret and the late Duncan MacKay, brother of Lesley and father of Jenna and Blair. A good friend and former work colleague to many. A graveside service will be held at Kilchattan Cemetery, Isle of Luing, on Friday, May 17, 2019, at 10.30am, thereafter a memorial service will be held at Lochgilphead Parish Church at 3.00pm. All friends are respectfully invited to attend.

PATON – Tragically as a result of an accident whilst walking on An Tellach, Dundonnell, The Reverend John Harris Paton, aged 60 years.  Beloved husband of Cathy and dear father to Andrew. Loving brother and uncle. Minister of the North Mull Parishes, and a friend to all. Funeral service to be held at Salen Parish Church, Isle of Mull on Thursday May 16, 2019 at 11.30am, thereafter to Cardross Crematorium.

WATT – Suddenly on May 10, 2019, in his 90th year, Alasdair MacKinnon Watt, beloved husband of the late Frances, much loved father of Susan Dignon, a loving grandad, great-grandad and great-great-grandad.  Funeral will take place from Oban Parish Church, Glencruitten Road, Oban on Wednesday May, 22 at 1.00 pm, thereafter to Pennyfuir Cemetery. Retiring collection/donations for Oban War and Peace Museum.


SHEDDEN – Sandra and Chris would like to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for their cards, flowers, food and hugs following the sad of loss of Elaine. Special thanks to Rev Dugald Cameron for a very special service. D A Munn & co for guidance and funeral arrangements, Lochnell Arms Hotel and also Police and Ambulance services for their compassion and help during this difficult time.
