A community library is starting a new chapter in Dervaig.

Tomorrow, Friday May 3, will see the library in a room at Dervaig Village Hall show off its shelves to visitors gathering at the venue for a special showcase day celebrating Mull’s many community groups and projects.

MSP Michael Russell, who donated some books from his own personal  collection, has also been invited along.

As well as the library, visitors will be able to look round the community orchard and hear about plans to build an outdoor classroom.

Among other groups and craftmakers attending with stalls will be Tobermory Harbour Association and Mull Native Woodland Group, who are busy preserving the island’s biodiversity.

People will also get the chance to look round Dervaig hall’s newly refurbished bunkrooms and enjoy a performance by Mull Music Makers at 4.30pm. The event is from 3pm to 5pm.
