BIRTHS
TINDALL – Iain and Fiona (née Wallace) are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter Eleanor Rose, on March 18, 2019 at Forth Valley Royal Hospital. Thanks to all of the staff and also everyone at Oban Maternity unit.

SCOTT – KEMPSEY – Both families are delighted to announce the engagement of Angus, eldest son of Mr and Mrs Colum Scott of Kilmore, by Oban and Glenaros, Isle of Mull and Annabel, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Richard Kempsey of Sutton Farm, Claverley, Shropshire.

DEATHS
FAITHFULL – Montague Albert, (Tormore, Fionnphort). Passed away quietly at Marie Curie Hospice, Frogstone, Edinburgh on April 16, 2019, aged 92. A devoted husband to the late Joan, and dad to John and David, playful grandfather to Alec and Annusha, and fond friend to their mothers Cath and Devika. An inspiring teacher, and lifelong seeker after truth. A celebration of his life will be held at Lorimer Chapel, Warriston Crematorium, Edinburgh, on Tuesday, May 14, at 12 noon. No flowers please, but donations to charities of your choice appreciated.
HILL – Peacefully at home on April 28, 2019, after a short illness, Linda Hill, loved and missed by Gordon, Alex, Siobhan, Colline, Gracie, Daniel, Flora and Norrie. Funeral will take place at Cardross Crematorium, Main Road, Cardross on Tuesday, May 7 at 12.15 pm. Retiring collection/donations if desired for The RDA, Oban.
HUTCHISON – Suddenly on April 26, 2019 at her home in Caol, Fort William, Ena Clark (née MacInnes), dearest mother of Stephen and Caroline, treasured granny of Carrie, Cheryl, Vicky, Emma and Connor, loving sister and aunty xx
MACCALLUM – Alistair (Ally). (Formerly Glenfinlas, Brig O’ Turk). After a long illness at Borders General Hospital on Sunday, April 28, 2019, Alistair, aged 94 years, sadly missed by Nanny and family. Cremation service at Borders Crematorium, Melrose on Thursday, May 9 at 1.00pm to which all friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please.

MACLEAN – Peacefully at Lorn and Islands Hospital, Oban on April 25, 2019, after a long illness, Eric MacLean (Electrician), beloved son of the late Sarah and Jackie MacLean (Lighthouse Keeper), a dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle, a good friend to many. Funeral service will take place from Argyllshire Gathering Halls, Breadalbane Street, Oban on Wednesday, May 8 at 1.00 pm. Thereafter to Pennyfuir Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Retiring collection/donations if desired for Hope Kitchen Oban.
McPHEE – Suddenly at her home, on April 24, 2019, Bessie McPhee (née Muirden), aged 78 years, of 1 Cairnbaan Cottages, Cairnbaan, by Lochgilphead, beloved wife of the late Neil McPhee, much loved mother of Douglas and May, loving granny of Neil, Stuart, Iona and Callum and a dear mother-in-law, sister, aunt and cousin to all the family. A good neighbour, dear friend and former work colleague to many. Funeral service will be held in Lochgilphead Parish Church, on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 12.00 noon, thereafter to Achnabreac Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations to Ardfenaig Residential Home Comfort Fund.
WALLACE (Dingwall/Corpach) – Peacefully at home on Tuesday April 23, 2019, Iris aged 68 years, beloved wife of Jimmy, loving mother to Jason and Lisa and a dear granny of Lexy and Struan and younger sister of Elizabeth. Funeral service at Inverness Crematorium on Friday May 3, 2019 at 2pm. Family flowers only please. Donations, if so desired, may be given at the service for CLAN Haven Aberdeen. All family and friends are respectfully invited.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
CAMPBELL – Marie, peacefully at the Belford Hospital on April 5, 2019. All the family would like to express their gratitude to all family, friends and neighbours from near and far for their kindness and support following the loss of our mum, grandmother and great-grandmother for all the cards, letters, flowers and phone calls and expressions of sympathy shown. A very big thank you to the Belford Hospital for their care and kindness and attention given from the doctors and all the nurses, McFall Funeral Directors for all their help, support and professional care, McDonald Bros Florist, for their beautiful flowers and arrangements. Dr Calder and Dr Wilmington at Ballachulish Medical Practice for their care over the years, to Jimmy Forsyth for the organ music, Joan Fullerton, Marie MacLachlan and Christine Garwood for all their help before and during the service, not to forget Father Basil, St. Mun’s RC Church, Ballachulish for conducting the funeral service and to everyone who attended on the day. Donations of £496.90 will be split between Macmillan Nurses, Lochaber and Belford Hospital.
McCRACKEN – Lorna, Catherine and Scott would like to thank everyone for cards, flowers, baking and phone calls received following the very sudden passing of Graeme. Special thanks to Oban Airport staff and Oban Fire Service for the overwhelming send off, also to Michael and Struan and Donald MacKinnon for the beautiful service, to Justine, Ian MacInnes and Royal Hotel and to everyone who travelled from near and far to be with us. A very generous donation was raised for the Family Support Trust. Thank you all. God Bless.
McLACHLAN – Stuart and family would like to thank family, friends and neighbours for the support and messages of sympathy following the recent sad loss of Annie. Our special thanks go to all the doctors, nurses and care team at the Lorn Medical Centre for their care and attention, to Matthew Ramsay for a comforting and personal service and to all who attended, to David McEwan for the lovely music, to the Argyll Arms Hotel for the excellent purvey, and to Kenny and staff at T A Blair for the caring and professional services and advice. The sum of £574.60 was raised for Macmillan Nurses Oban and Marie Curie.
