A 79-year-old driver is in a stable condition after a crash on the A85 near Tyndrum on Easter Sunday.

It happened just after 8am, two miles west of Tyndrum.

The injured woman, who was driving a Vauxhall Mokka, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.

A police spokesperson said it was believed no other car was involved.

The road between Tyndrum and Dalmally was shut until it was safe for vehicles to pass.

Enquiries are ongoing.
