Oban High School Pipe Band returned from their whistle-stop tour of New York last week with memories to last a lifetime.

As well as wowing the crowds while taking part in the famous Tartan Day Parade down Sixth Avenue, band members visited many of the Big Apple’s attractions during the five days they were there.

The group visited the Empire State Building; Top of the Rock (Rockerfeller Building); Freedom Tower; Staten Island Ferry to see the Statue of Liberty; Central Park; Times Square; Yankee’s Stadium; Tiffany’s; Madam Tussaud’s; Ripley’s and the Believe it Or Not exhibition.

They also sang their hearts out at the famous Ellen’s Stardust Diner and played to an international crowd in Bryant Park.
