Essential road repairs to the A85 through Lochawe started on Tuesday night.
The overnight improvements will take four nights to complete. Work will be carried out between 7pm and 6am each night, with work due to be completed by 6am Monday April 29. No work is planned for Friday or Saturday nights.
The A85 will be closed in both directions during working hours. There will be a signed diversion in place via the A828 and A82, however, the diversion route is subject to a height restriction of 13’9” (4.2m) at Connel Bridge. Vehicles higher than this restriction are encouraged to plan an alternative route.
Alternatively, vehicles will be escorted through the roadworks at 7.30pm, 8.30pm, 9.30pm, 11pm, 1am, 3am and 5am each night.
Access for local residents and businesses will be maintained during the project and emergency services will be able to pass through the works at all times. The road will be fully open during the day.
The £135,000 investment by Transport Scotland will see more than 1km of the A85 at Lochawe improved.
