Fort William Photographic Society’s first evening photo walk of the year will take place on Tuesday April 23. Meet at 7pm in one of the car parks in Glen Nevis beyond the youth hostel. New members welcome. Look for tripods and cameras.

Lochaber High School presents a joint wind band concert on Tuesday April 23 which will feature music from LHS Wind Bands, LHS Pipe Band and Stadtkapelle Fuerstenfeldbruck. Free tickets for this concert are available from the school office.

Kilmallie Shinty Club are hosting a fundraising race night at Tradewinds for club funds this Saturday, April 27. Starter’s gun is at 8pm. There will be a raffle. To buy or sponsor a horse, speak to Cath MacKay.

Friends of Nevis is holding its spring litter pick and curling ponds tidy-up on Sunday April 28. Meet at Ben Nevis Highland Centre (Woollen Mill) at 10.30am and finish about 3.15pm. Come for a couple of hours or whatever time you can spare. Under 18s should be accompanied by an adult.

Kilmallie Community Centre in Corpach is welcoming the Cork Accordion and Fiddle Club to its concert on Friday May 3. Starting at 8pm, the performance will feature Donal Ring, ‘Ireland’s Jimmy Shand’, and other leading Irish musicians. Tickets available at the door.
