Organisers of this year’s Oban and Provincial Mod are hoping entries will come in early.

The closing date is April 26 but the earlier the entries are submitted, the better says Moira Dunlop.

No late entries will be accepted, April 26 is the absolute cut off date.

‘People don’t need to wait to the alt minute before they send in their entries, the sooner we get it the better,’ said Mrs Dunlop.

The juniors’ day with 90 classes is on Friday May 31 and the adults’ day with 23 competitions is on Saturday June 1.

Competitors with their own choice songs need to send in their own music and translation too as some of the adjudicators are non-Gaelic speakers.

Entries can be sent to the Furan Gaelic Centre at Oban Corran Halls or direct to Mrs Dunlop at Sealladh Eite, Achaleven Road, Connel, PA37 1PF.
