Oban Live Fringe needs you.
That was the message from the festival’s head of communications Pauline Clifford when she met up with the business community last week to get them signed up to being part of this summer’s fringe event before and after the main festival’s stage action.
The festival acts start at 4pm and end by 11.30pm so there is plenty of time for visitors to enjoy the town’s shops, pubs and eateries.
Whether it is discounts for people wearing festival wristbands, putting on music events in bars and pubs or providing Oban Live breakfasts for hungry music fans, Oban Live organisers want to hear all about it.
Listings will be put in a specially created Fringe Festival guide for free. The guide will be available at venues around the town and in hotel rooms. It will also be handed out to 2,000 visitors from a cruise ship due right at the start of the festival weekend.
Dates for this year’s Oban Live are Friday June 7 to Saturday June 8.
