A Ballachulish business raised Lochaber’s profile in this month’s Scottish Rural Awards.

RiverBeds Luxury Wee Lodges with Hot Tubs were finalists in two categories of these prestigious awards.  On the night, they picked up the Runner-Up Award for Business Diversification.

Father and Son team Laurence and Callum Young were handed the award by Dougie Vipond,  at the glittering ceremony held at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh last week.

‘The judges commended us on the quality of our diversification at Dragon’s Tooth Golf Course, and on the care taken with the natural environment,’ said Callum.

Morag Young was with her husband and son on the night and when interviewed after the awards, commented: ‘RiverBeds is so successful because of the powerful team of energetic folk who work there – this award is because of them.’

RiverBeds Luxury Wee Lodges with Hot Tubs is the accommodation brand of Glencoe Activities, which offers golf, Segway tours and other activities on the Dragons Tooth Estate at Ballachulish.
