Ballachulish Co-op manager Neil Cameron presented a cheque for £760 to Glencoe Primary School last week, along with Co-op staff members Mrs Laura MacMorran and Miss Morag Syme.

The money was raised through a Christmas raffle held at the Ballachulish Co-op.

Glencoe Primary School parents, children and Co-op staff helped sell the raffle tickets in the store.

All parents, staff and pupils of Glencoe Primary School were delighted that the local store chose their school to receive the money raised from their Christmas raffle and were amazed at the wonderful amount raised through community members and visitors to the Ballachulish Co-op.

Marylin Macdonald, associate head teacher, said: ‘The money raised will help purchase Chromebooks for the school enabling more children to access the curriculum through ICT.

‘We wish to thank the Ballachulish Co-op for organising the raffle and all who helped raise the amazing amount.

‘The smiles on the children and staff reflect their delight in gaining more Chromebooks for Glencoe Primary School.’
