March certainly came in like a lion this year so hopefully we can have a nice start to April, one of my favourite months, not that I’m wishing my life away.
The lighter mornings and evenings make life so much nicer and mean you can squeeze a wee bit more into each day, which is just as well as there is so much happening just now.
March is a lovely month and there is certainly a lot to look forward to.
My favourite is a band called Live/Wire in the Corran Halls on March 23. If you’re a fan of AC/DC, then get your tickets now.
If that’s not quite to your taste, then don’t worry: there’s lots more.
If you’re a bingo fan then The View is the place to be on Friday night. Danny Mooney and The Fold are on in Markie Dan’s over the weekend, and on Saturday the big event is the Oban High School reunion in the Royal Hotel, a fantastic chance to catch up with old friends and make new ones.
On Monday, Simon Yates shares his experiences and pictures of mountaineering all over the world in the Corran Halls and gives you the chance to visit all those places with him from the comfort of your chair.
Today (Thursday) also gives you the chance to buy Love Oban vouchers with a 10 per cent discount So, if you have any birthdays or anniversaries coming up, now is the time to get ready. The vouchers are available in six different businesses and can be spent in more than 80 places – and the number is growing all the time.
Last week’s photo was of the entrance to Argyll Mansions and this week’s takes you further along the seafront.
