Oban gents lost at Dumfries.

Oban Squash Club experienced a mixed bag of results over a full weekend of fixtures.

On Saturday the gents team travelled south to Dumfries but lost their friendly fixture.

There were some close matches on the day, however, with members thoroughly enjoying their first visit to the Borders town.

The club thanked Callum from the Dumfries club and Jackie Kersley for organising the event. A return match in Oban will be arranged for later in the year.

On Sunday, the ladies team fared better when hosting Dunblane Squash Club in an annual challenge event.

Oban won 18 -3 with exciting matches keeping the crowd of spectators at Atlantis Leisure entertained.

Ladies from both teams enjoyed the competitive matches followed by some friendly team matches with the Dunblane ladies.

Match organiser Jackie Kersley said: ‘Many thanks to the Dunblane ladies for a great day. We are looking forward to the return match later this year.’
