The Fort William and district branch of Royal British Legion Scotland is holding a potted sports evening at Sunny’s Bar on Thursday January 31 at 7pm.

Join the Highland Bookshop in Fort William this Friday (February 1) as it welcomes Fiona J MacKenzie, Ray Perman and Hugh Cheape as they present the Campbells of Canna. To celebrate the recent release of Eilean: The Island Photography of Margaret Fay Shaw, the trio will give an illustrated talk on the lives and legacies of both Shaw and John Lorne Campbell. The evening begins at 6.30pm and will be held upstairs in the shop. Staff and volunteers from Caol-based charitable organisation Lochaber Sensory Care for sight and hearing support will be paying an outreach visit to Mallaig on Tuesday February 5. The LSC team will be based in Mallaig Medical Centre from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. They will offer support and advice to those with a sight loss or hearing loss and will also re-tube and maintain NHS hearing aids and supply batteries for these. No appointment is needed for this free service.

Fort William Accordion and Fiddle Club is hosting a musical evening
on Tuesday February 5 at 7.30pm at the Railway Club Inverlochy. The guest artist is Duncan Black and Marie Fielding. All welcome. Admission is £5. In the event of a last minute cancellation by any guest artist the committee will find an alternative artist.

Fort William Cricket Club is holding its AGM on Wednesday (February 6)  from 7pm to 10pm at Lochaber Rugby Club.
