Theft of heating oil

Between Saturday December 1 and Thursday December 6, at Oban Seil Farm, Seil Island, a quantity of heating oil was stolen.

Drugs found

At about 3.40am on Wednesday January 9, on George Street, Oban, a man aged 19 was searched by police and allegedly found to be in possession of cannabis. He was charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Vehicle damaged

Between 6pm on Monday January 7 and 8am on Tuesday January 8, in Nant Drive, Oban, a Renault Traffic van was damaged by having the bodywork scratched.

Drunk driver

At about 1.40am on Friday January 11, a 25-year-old man was stopped by police while driving on the A85 at Dunbeg. The man provided a positive breath test, was arrested and subsequently a blood sample was taken for analysis.

House broken into

At about 3.50am on Saturday January 12, a house in Chestnut Court, Taynuilt, was broken into and items stolen.

Abusive behaviour

At about 11.50pm on Saturday January 12, in George Street, Oban, a man aged 19 was arrested for behaving in an abusive manner. He was later charged and issued with a recorded police warning.

Witness appeal

At about 1am on Monday January 14, near North Pier, Oban, a man was hurt when someone threw a coin which struck him on the face causing minor injury.
