Oban’s new Premier Inn opens its doors next month.

The first guests will be able to sign into the new hotel in Shore Street with its 81 bedrooms and restaurant on Thursday February 28.

The company, with support from Oban Jobcentreplus, is recruiting now for full- and part-time housekeepers, maintenance team members, night shift managers, reception, duty managers and kitchen staff. All the vacancies are on line at

Staff from Premier Inn will be at Oban Jobcentreplus on Monday January 14 and Tuesday January 15 if anyone wants to drop in and have a chat with them about working for the company.

Ailsa Riva, the new openings project manager for Premier Inn in Scotland,  said: ‘We are very excited to finally have a Premier Inn opening in Oban as it is a town that we have been interested in for some time and the opportunity has now been fulfilled.

‘The new hotel is being built to a high specification and we are looking forward to offering the levels of Premier Inn service, quality and prices to Oban.’
