Fiuran Property is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a charity giveaway.
The firm, which is based in Oban and Fort William, wants people to vote on its Facebook pages for one of the shortlsited charities on each branch’s page.
The charity which gets the most votes in each of Oban and Fort William will benefit to the tune of £300.
Fiuran Property was started in Oban by Laura and Gillies Pagan in 2013 and since its inception, has grown considerably until, in 2017, it became the biggest estate agent in the Oban area by volume of sales.
Now 2018 has been a big year for Fiuran Property, celebrating its fifth anniversary and expanding into Fort William, which was a long-held ambition.
The expansion into Fort William was relatively smooth as it was backed by an established company with a proven track record.
Expertise in property is essential to the success of any estate agency, as moving home can be one of the most stressful events in life.
The business can be as much about people as it is about property, and Kelie Cooper, who heads up the Fort William operation, is an expert at dealing in both. With a legal background, and having lived in Lochaber for more than 30 years, she was the perfect person to lead this expansion.
Kelie said: ‘I’m delighted to be part of such a dynamic company that places so much emphasis on customer satisfaction. Property has always been a passion of mine, and I’m thrilled to be able to work in this industry in my home area. Getting out and meeting clients and prospective buyers is one of the best bits of the job.’
Gillies said: ‘We at Fiuran greatly appreciate the support that the people of Oban and Argyll have given our business since we started it five years ago, and we are equally grateful to the people of Lochaber for support they have given Fiuran Property in Fort William since we opened there earlier this year, with a significant number of sales achieved already, many of these within a week of the property going on the market.
‘We wondered what would be the best way to show our appreciation of the communities that have supported us, and we wanted to give a little something back, so we decided that both branches of Fiuran Property could each make a donation of £300 to a local charity.
‘However, with so many wonderful causes doing so much good work in our local areas, it would be impossible for us to choose which charity should benefit, so we thought we’d let the people choose.
‘So we put a post on both the Oban and Fort William Fiuran pages asking for nominations for charities. Having got a shortlist, the public can now vote for their chosen charity simply by liking their chosen charity’s logo on the Fiuran Property Facebook pages. The voting is open now and closes at midday on Friday December 14, with the winner being announced shortly thereafter.’
