Lochaber Foodbank will hold its annual collection in the Tesco store in Fort William November 29, 30 and December 1, from 10am till 4pm each day. Foodbank volunteers will be there for the collections, and all food and money collected stays in the area to help the local communities.

Kilmallie Community Centre is holding its annual general meeting on Thursday November 29 at the hall in Corpach at 6.30pm.

The West Highland Museum’s Saturday Club are holding a fun-filled Christmas children’s event at the museum on Saturday December 1, suitable for six to 12-year-olds. The event is free and no need to book.

The Light up the Highlands Christmas Carols Service, hosted by Highland Hospice, takes place on Monday (December 3) in the Faith Mission Hall at 6.30pm. The community are invited for an evening of carol singing. Refreshments served.

Staff and volunteers from Caol-based Lochaber Sensory Care for sight and hearing support will be visiting Mallaig Medical Centre between 1.30pm and 3pm on Tuesday December 4. The LSC team will offer help and advice to thosewho have a sight or hearing loss. They will also supply NHS hearing aid batteries, provide re-tubing for the hearing aids and assist with any problems. No appointment is required for this free service.

Fort William Accordion and Fiddle Club are hosting a musical evening on Tuesday December 4 at 7.30pm at the Railway Club in Inverlochy. The guest artist is the Richard Ross Trio. All welcome.

A fundraising quiz is being held in aid of the Fort William Pump Track project, which aims to build a bike track to the centre of the town. The quiz starts at 9pm at Garrison West and is being organised by Off Beat Bikes. All proceeds will go towards the campaign.

Lochaber Camanachd Club is hosting its AGM on Saturday December 8 in the Bridge Cafe, Spean Bridge at 4pm.  All players, members, supporters or anyone interested in shinty are welcome.

Kilmallie Community Centre is holding its Christmas Fayre on Saturday December 8 from 11am to 3pm. Tables are £8 each and to book a table contact the centre manager on 01397 600111. All proceeds will be put towards the continued upgrading of Kilmallie Community Centre.

The Music Shed Community Choir’s Christmas Concert will be held in St Andrew’s Church Hall at 7.30pm on Tuesday December 11.  Please come along and enjoy some seasonal music and socialise over tea and cake afterwards.  No Charge.

The next Bus User’s Group meeting takes place on Friday December 14 at 11.30am at the Duncansburgh MacIntosh Church hall on the Parade, Fort William.
