Updates on Mull and Iona’s GP crisis will be given at two public meetings being organised next week.
The first meeting is at Iona Village Hall on Tuesday December 4 at 4.45pm and then at Bunessan Village Hall on Wednesday December 5 at 7.30pm.
Campaigner Jonathan Knight says the island is now relying on locums to serve its GP practices which is costing the NHS a fortune.
‘What we want most is continuity of care,’ said Mr Knight who will be updating the meetings on the current GP situation and campaigners’ efforts to get permanent GPs in Bunessan, Tobermory and Salen/Craignure surgeries.
