Now that it is November, we are beginning to feel the serious side of winter. We have seen our first snowfall, though it didn’t last long, and we know that the skiing season can’t be far off.

It also means increased heating bills and feeling cold in our homes, but it doesn’t have to be that way!

Lochaber Environmental Group is offering free home energy surveys across Lochaber all winter. Our thermal imaging cameras are a great way of finding draughts, missing insulation and other features invisible to the eye. We can also use our electricity monitors to see exactly where your money is going and help you stop wasting energy.

The amount of energy we waste is a very important issue and everyone wants to reduce their bills. We want you to spend less and be warmer, there doesn’t have to be any compromise.

We can bring a variety of draught-proofing kit to get you started and also supply an LED lightbulb. The bulb is just 6W but is as bright as an old-fashioned 60W, cost 1p for over 10 hours of light and will last for a decade, making it a great way to minimise your usage!

Lochaber Environmental Group  is funded by the Scottish Government’s Climate Challenge Fund. If you would like a free home energy survey or have any home energy questions then get in touch on 01397 700090 or info@lochaberenviro.org.uk.
