Theft of bike

Between October 25 and 28, a specialised mountain bike with a black and red frame and distinctive large letter K on the cross bar was stolen from a driveway on Glencruitten Road, Oban.

Rucksack stolen

Between 11.55pm on Saturday October 27 and 10am on Sunday October 28, outside the Creagan Inn, Appin, a green Osprey Kestral rucksack containing a tent, a camera, a tripod and a North Face jacket was stolen.

Drunk driver

At about 2.25pm on Monday October 29, on Corran Brae, Oban, a woman aged 48 was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol. She woman was charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Drugs found

At about 4pm on Wednesday October 31, in Soroba Road, Oban, a man aged 23 was stopped and searched by police and found in possession of cannabis. He was charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Shoplifting

At about 7.15pm on Wednesday October 31, at a shop off Argyll Square, Oban, a man aged 38stole some alcohol. He was arrested, charged with
the theft and issued with a recorded police warning.

Theft of Tools

Between 1pm on Tuesday October 23 and 11am on Thursday October 25, on the verge of the the A85, near Connel, some tools were stolen. A member of the public uses these tools to voluntarily maintain and tidy the road verges.

Heroin discovered

At about 3.20am on Thursday November 1, at Hill Street, Oban, a man aged 37, was stopped and searched by police and found in possession of heroin. The man was charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Abusive behaviour

At about 2am on Saturday November 3, at Corran Brae, Oban, a man behaved in an abusive manner. He was arrested and charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Drunk driver

At about 8.50am on Saturday November 3, near Kilninver, a man aged 27 was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol. He was charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Cocaine found

At about 7.30pm on Saturday November 3, at Corran Esplanade, Oban, a man aged 32 was stopped and searched and found in possession of cocaine and ecstasy. The man was charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Intent to supply

At about 9.45pm, on Saturday November 3, in Lochside Street, Oban, a van was stopped and searched and a man aged 18 was found to be in possession of cannabis with intent to supply. He man was arrested and charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Housebreaking

Between 5pm and 11pm on Saturday November 3, a flat at 74 George Street, Oban, was broken into in and cash and several items, including phones, a Samsung laptop, a Dell laptop, a Samsung Galaxy tablet were stolen.

Assault

At about 10.10pm on Sunday November 4, at the Corran Esplanade, Oban, a man was assaulted by another man. A 32-year-old man was arrested and charged, held for court and a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
