Oban firefighters put their equipment to good use on Saturday by raising money for charity by washing cars.
A ‘steady flow’ of vehicles pulled into Oban Community Fire Station to support the Firefighers Charity, which rehabilitates those suffering from either a physical or mental condition.
Firefighter, David MacInnes who organised the event, said: ‘The charity has facilities that it can use to rehabilitate people with physical and mental problems.
‘There are guys in this station who have been there with different issues with their legs or whatever, so it’s quite an important charity to us, as we have had to use them personally.
‘The weather has not been great, but it’s not deterred most folk. It’s good to see the community coming out and supporting the local firefighters.’
