Nominations are open for the 2018 LiveArgyll annual sports awards in partnership with sportscotland that recognise and celebrate individual sporting achievement, teams, coaches and volunteers making sport happen across Argyll and Bute.

Members of the public and sports organisations are being invited to nominate people that go the extra mile to help others, young or old in their community – the people behind the scenes that keep grassroots sport alive week in, week out.

They might run a netball team, help youngsters fall in love with mountain-biking or support children with additional needs to be more active.

It could be a selfless volunteer who has given up their time to coach youngsters for years, or someone who washes team kits to make sure players look their best each week. This is your opportunity to celebrate what they do and give them the recognition they deserve.

The nomination categories are:

Adult Youth Coach

Youth Coach

Primary Young Leader

Community Coach

Club of the year

Service to sport

Sporting achievement of the year

Nominations close on August 17. For full details on all categories and to submit your nomination visit

Nominations can also be posted to: LiveArgyll Sandbank Office, Highland Avenue, Sandbank, Dunoon, PA23 8QZ.
