Members of Oban Inner Wheel have handed over a £100 cheque to the town’s lifeboat.

The money will be used to buy new kit or help with fuel costs, said coxswain Richard  Johnson.

So far this year, the lifeboat has been called out 20 times.

The lifeboat station will be hosting an open day on Saturday June 23 from  from 11am to 3pm.

A Seafari boat from Easdale will be running trips, the coastguard will be putting on displays and at 3pm the sea rescue helicopter from Prestwick will fly in.
