Oban Charitable Trust is seeking volunteers to keep the service going.

The charity was formed in 1991 by Graeme Pagan and manages the Hameart holiday flat in Oban, which is offered as self-catering holiday and respite accommodation to those suffering from cancer and their carers.

The trust appealed: ‘This is a vital and essential service that meets social and health care needs to cancer suffers and they would like it to continue.

‘Oban Charitable Trust is seeking new trustees to help decide on policies and practice to keep the service going. It is not time-consuming, but they are conducting a review on how they operate and need fresh thought and energy to maintain efficiency. It meets about four times a year.

‘If you have a special interest, have the energy and thoughts, and want to help, contact Bob on 01631 770279, or Laura on 07572 464869 for further information.’
