There was superb talent on display at this year’s Lochaber Provincial Mòd on Friday and Saturday.

The two-day event was held at Fort William’s Gaelic school, Bun-Sgoil Ghàidhlig Loch Abar.

A spokesperson for the event said: ‘This year’s local Mòd was another great success and attracted entries from across Lochaber and as far afield as Oban, Dingwall, Beauly and Inverness.

‘Numbers held up well this year with close on 300 entries across 60 different events. The committee would like to thank all the children, adjudicators, parents, teachers and volunteers for making the two days so successful.

‘The only disappointing note from the weekend was the lack of senior entries, which is something we hope to address for next year.

‘The Local Meur Loch Abar AGM is to be held in Bun-Sgoil Ghaidhlig Loch Abar on Monday May 21 at 7pm and we would encourage anyone with an interest to come along.’

This week we are publishing a selection of photographs featuring various winners, with more available to see online on at
