Islay lifeboat launched last week to help a fisherman who had been taken ill.
The volunteer crew set off from their base at 1.05pm on May 12.
They joined a Coastguard Rescue 199 helicopter that was tasked with air-lifting the sick crew member off a scallop fishing boat from the north end of the Sound of Islay.
The lifeboat, Helmut Schroder of Dunlossit II, arrived on scene at 1.20pm and the fisherman was safely evacuated from his vessel.
He was subsequently taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.
