At the start of the pandemic in March we took the decision to make online access to our news free of charge by taking down our paywall. At a time where accurate information about Covid-19 was vital to our community, this was the right decision – even though it meant a drop in our income. Entries are now open for the Lochaber Yacht Club dinghy hill race 2018.

Based at Lochaber Yacht Club, the course crosses Loch Linnhe, ascends Meall an t- Slamain (steep and heathery) and returns by the same route.

The distance is approximately 3km with a 457m ascent.

The race takes place on Tuesday May 29, with briefing at 6pm.

Entries are open until May 20 (25 runners maximum, over 18 years only).
