Sean Rowan, left, of Oban BJJ in action at the Scottish grappling invitational in Glasgow.

Sean Rowan from Oban BJJ entered the Scottish grappling invitational BJJ show in Glasgow at the Community Service Halls in Maryhill, this show was a submissions only event where you have to try to submit your opponent within the 10-minute time limit.

Sean’s opponent was amateur MMA fighter; Olly Georgopollus from Dundee MMA.

The match lasted nine minutes with Sean having to work out of many submission attempts before getting caught in a choke and submitting to his opponent.

Special thanks must go to Alex Hill contractor for helping Sean with his travel.

Thursdays are now concentrating on MMA at the club and is starting from basics so is perfect time to try something different. All classes start at 7.30pm weekdays
