Twelve Lochaber High School pupils have received their Level 5 Sports Leadership certificates from head teacher Scott Steele.
The course, which took place over the last eight months, has been a mixture of practical and theory sessions, examining and honing leadership skills and techniques.
As part of the course, the group helped run events and tournaments for local primary schools and have been out to Lundavra Primary School where they have lead successful PE sessions for the younger pupils.
Mrs Yvonne Clark, who has been working with the group over the last year, said: ‘It has been great to watch the skills and confidence of the group develop. They have become a tightly knit group, with the ability to lead and inspire others and encourage youngsters to get involved in sport. I am very proud of them.’
