Lochboisdale – United Auctions held their annual sale of all classes cattle and sheep at Lochboisdale Auction Mart.
A mixed entry of grazing cattle and sheep sold well and in keeping with current mainland levels. Bullocks sold to 265 pence per kilo from 5 Frobost and heifers from 20 Balivanich sold to 238 pence per kilo. Breeding cattle sold well and to a top of £2100 from 348 North Boisdale. Cast cows from 136 Stilligarry sold to £1100.

Once again short of numbers for buyers requirements which resulted in all classes dearer

£1634 for a Charolais from Gillandersland, Linlithgow to Hugh A Black and Sons.
Young bulls sold to 225p for a Limousin from Flemington, Cambuslang to J F Finlay and Co, Wishaw and to £1660 for a British Blue from Upper Auchenlay, Dunblane to Charles Kirkpatrick.
