Local producers at Oban’s first outdoor market of the year enjoyed brisk trade at the weekend.

From fresh baked bread to haggis, pies and crystal readings, there was plenty to tempt shoppers.

Andrew Spence from Bid4Oban, which is behind the market initiative in Station Road, said it follows last year’s success.

Other market dates for this year are Saturday May 26, Saturday June 30, Saturday July 28, Saturday August 25 and Saturday September 22.

‘It’s got off to a really good start and we’re hoping to encourage more traders to come along and join us so it gets even bigger and better,’ he said.
