PUPILS from Rockfield Primary School ran out comfortable winners last Thursday in a school athletics competition at Atlantis Leisure.
In total eight teams took part in the event: Dalmally, Taynuilt, Dunbeg, Rockfield B, St Columba’s, Lochnell, Park, and Rockfield A.
And in the end, St Columba’s and Lochnell shared third place, Park finished second and Rockfield A were the winners.
At the prize giving ceremony, Atlantis Leisure’s Kevin Keen said: ‘Some of the athletics that I saw today were some of the best that we have seen in years.’
The event was organised by both Atlantis Leisure and Active Schools.
Gillian Walker, Active Schools coordinator, said: ‘It was great. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the standard was good.’
