Firefighters have tackled a grass fire on a hillside above Appin on Monday night.

The fire near Inverhyme Farm lit up the skyline.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said firefighters were alerted at 7.45pm.

She added: ‘Operations Control mobilised two fire engines to the fire on the hillside near Inverhyme Farm where firefighters extinguished the fire. Crews left the scene at 9.20pm after ensuring the area was made safe.’
