Oban Otters swimming coaches were put through their paces in the classroom and poolside under the skilled guidance of tutor Paul Donald from Scottish Swimming at a development event last weekend.

Stroke technique, diving skills, stamina drills and speed training were among the topics covered.

The course was made possible thanks to a generous funding donation from local charity Argyll Beats Cardiovascular Disease. Charity trustees Andy Henderson, Betty Graham, Bill Kersel, Alfie MacKenzie and Stephen Clarke are pictured with the successful coaches. Photograph: Kevin McGlynn.
