After week five of the Lochaber Building Supplies ten pin bowling leagues at the Nevis Centre, Fort William, the scratch and handicap divisions are still close at the top.
The Empire still lead the scratch division with 20 points. Alleycats move into second place on 19 points followed by Council and British Legion Fort William on 17 points. The Fillies Plus Gillie are still on top of the handicap division with 18 points, followed by Council and Alleycats on 17 points.
Individually, the best scratch game of the week came from Ben Weller (The Empire) with 184. Ben also had the week’s top two game scratch series of 339. The week’s high handicap game of 243 and the top two game handicap series of 465 went to Jim Bell, British Legion Fort William, – both season highs.
The best team scores of the week came from a close match between the Empire and Council. The Empire had the top scratch game of 631 and the top two-game scratch series of 1,211. The top handicap game of 836 and and the top two-game handicap series of 1,584 went to Council. All four of these scores were season highs.
The top scratch average is held by Ben Weller (The Empire) with 165 followed by Tony Whitelocke (Alleycats) with 152 and Pam Weller (Alleycats) on 150.
