The Arisaig branch of the Scottish Women’s Institute held its first meeting of the 2017-2018 session on Friday October 20.

Guest speakers were Silvia and John Arnold who entertained with tales of their exploits in their camper van searching all over Europe for wild flowers. The photos were varied and stunning.

The speakers were followed by the branch’s business agenda for the year. The tea hostesses were Rosie MacEachen and Anne Cameron.

Competitions: A wild flower/seed head posy – 1 June Cairns; 2 Yvonne MacDonald; 3 Helen Lamb. A holiday snap – 1 Anne Cameron; 2 Helen Lamb; 3 June Cairns.

The next meeting will be held on Thursday November 16, in the Astley Hall at 2.30pm.
