THE TIGHNABRUAICH Open shoot was held on Saturday September 30, a long-standing event in the club’s diary.
Despite the rain in the early part of the morning, the rest of the day was unusually sunny which in turn helped in the attendance of 32 guns.
High gun for the day was John Kennedy on 140/150, second place went to Derek Street on 135/150, third was Alan Brown on 134/150, fourth equal were Stuart McNeil and Ian Dawson both on 133/150, and fifth place went to Andrew Heatherington on 130/150. Winner of the Pairs Trophy was John Kennedy. Best local went to Derek Street. Richard Deane won the pool trap and the novice prize went to Sep.
The club would like to extend its thanks to Anne McPhail, Pat Currie and Joanne McBride for the excellent catering, all members who assisted with the running of the shoot and for all prizes donated for the raffle.
