About 9pm on Wednesday October 4, on the A85 near Tyndrum, a van was stopped for exceeding the speed limit. The driver, a man aged 51, was charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Theft of wallet
Between 12.20pm and 12.30pm on Wednesday October 4, a wallet and a tobacco pouch were stolen from a lock-up on the South Pier, Gallanach Road, Oban.
About 12.40am on Thursday October 5, on the Railway Pier, Oban, a man aged 37 was stopped and searched by police. The man was found in possession of a small amount of cannabis, and was charged and issued with a recordable police warning.
About 12.50am on Friday October 6, in Station Square, Oban, a man aged 22 was arrested for abusive behaviour. When arrested, the man allegedly resisted police and assaulted an officer. The man was charged with the offences and a report was submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Between 3.30pm on Thursday October 5 and 8.15am on Friday October 6, in a car park at Shuna Terrace, Oban, a white Mercedes Sprinter van was damaged by having the windscreen cracked.
Between 9am on Thursday October 5 and 3.45pm on Friday October 6, on Mossfield Drive, Oban, a white Citroen Picasso was damaged by having the paintwork badly scratched.
About 1.40am on Saturday October 7, on Glengallen Road, Oban, a man allegedly damaged a wing mirror on a silver Toyota Avensis taxi by punching or kicking it.
About 8.30pm on Friday October, following a report of a disturbance at a flat at Jane Road, Dunbeg, Oban, a 25-year-old man was detained. He was later arrested and charged with abusive behaviour and a report was submitted to the procurator fiscal.
About 10.30pm on Friday October 6, following a report of a disturbance at a flat at Corran Brae, Oban, a 31-year-old woman was detained, was later arrested and charged with abusive behaviour and a report was submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Between 11pm on Friday October 6 and 8am on Saturday October 7, a street bollard in Dalriach Road, Oban, was damaged.
About 9.15pm on Sunday October 8, in Station Square, Oban, a silver Vauxhall Astra allegedly collided with another car, failed to stop and drove off. A short time later the Astra mounted the pavement in Stafford Street, collided with a road sign, failed to stop and drove off.
Police attended and a short time later arrested a man, 37, in Corran Brae, Oban. The man was allegedly under the influence of drugs, was charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
