HOTT (Heart of the Travellers) is on the road at the end of the month with the film Sense of Identity.

Author and traveller Jess Smith will be at Oban library on Monday October 30 to introduce the film which features Scottish travellers sharing what their culture means to them.

There will also be an accompanying exhibition which will be on view most of that day.

Jess told The Oban Times: ‘Sense of Identity is a lovely film of travellers young and old who talk honestly about what their culture means to them. Awards For All funded the project.

‘HOTT was formed after the success of the Tinker’s Heart campaign which took me seven years to convince Historic Environment Scotland that there is a culture of travellers.’

The exhibition can be viewed from mid-morning on Monday October 30, while the film will be shown later that evening at 7pm.
