The A82 near Altnafeadh, Glencoe, has been closed in both directions due to a serious road accident.

This has led to delays for people travelling over Connel Bridge due to tailbacks as a result of the diverted routes.

The incident took place just after noon and Police Scotland are hopeful that the road will be re-opened within the hour.

The diverted routes are as follows: Northbound traffic is to turn onto the A85 at Tyndrum and travel to Connel and take the A828 north to join the A82 at Ballachulish.

Southbound traffic is to travel south on the A828 to Connel then take the A85 to rejoin the A82 at Tyndrum.
