Police Scotland have confirmed a man has died following a collision on the A82 near Altnafeadh in Glencoe.

The incident happened at about noon today (Tuesday September 12) and involved a Fiat campervan and a male pedestrian, who died at the scene.

The occupants of the campervan were uninjured.

The man’s next of kin have been informed and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

The road was closed for several hours to allow for a collision investigation to take place.

Sergeant Gregor Hay said: ‘Our thoughts at this time are with everyone affected by this tragic incident.

‘Our enquiries are ongoing and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision to contact us as soon as possible.

‘Please call the road policing unit in Fort William on 101, quoting reference R050438, with any information.’
