Rail passengers are warned to expect train disruptions later this month.
ScotRail have announced that weekend trains will be cancelled between Crianlarich and Glasgow, with a replacement bus service in operation, on Saturday and Sunday September 23-24 as well as Saturday September 30 and Sunday October 1. However trains will run as normal from Crianlarich towards Mallaig, Fort William and Oban.
The disruptions are due to engineering work in the Dumbarton, Dalmuir, Partick via Singer, and Partick via Yoker lines, plus the Maryhill and Milngavie lines.
A ScotRail spokesperson said: ‘We’re encouraging customers to plan their journeys in advance at scotrail.co.uk or on the ScotRail app, as departure and arrival times will be different from normal.
‘We are carrying out the biggest upgrade to the network since it was built in Victorian times – and it will mean more seats, faster, more reliable journeys and more and better services.’
