YOUNG rugby players from Argyll and Bute will be given the chance to learn from the best this summer, as Glasgow Warriors’ Young Warriors camp returns to Oban later this month.
The one-day camp, for P4-U15 boys and girls, will be held at Oban RFC on Friday July 21, and will provide a valuable opportunity for budding rugby players to enhance and develop their skills under the eyes of Glasgow’s experienced community coaches.
The club’s last visit to Oban came in August 2015, when former Warriors captain Al Kellock brought the Pro12 trophy to the Young Warriors camp in the wake of Glasgow’s historic first league title.
Places can be booked now at www.glasgowwarriors.org, with each participant receiving a Glasgow Warriors kit pack and individual action plan.
Speaking about the camp, Oban RFC club secretary Murray Hamilton said: ‘It’s great to have Oban Lorne hosting the Glasgow Warriors summer camp once again this summer.
‘This has been one of our busiest youth seasons ever and this camp will allow many of our players to continue their development over the holidays and help them prepare for another busy season.’
