Last Monday evening several volunteer youth football coaches from Oban and the surrounding areas attended an excellent coach in-service organised by Oban Saints Youths in conjunction with the Scottish Youth Football Association.
SYFA national development officer Brian Sproul came to Oban and delivered a fantastic educational session for the coaches present.
Brian has spent several years in the professional game and has a wealth of experience at the top level, with Kilmarnock and St Mirren among the clubs he has been involved with.
All the coaches present from Saints Youths and the Oban Primary Football League went away having learnt a great deal.
Oban Saints Youths would like to thank Brian and the SYFA for taking the time to come to Oban to help our hard-working local volunteers and we would also like to thank the Saints youth players who took part in the session.
