Taynuilt and Barcaldine Primary Schools emerged victorious in the annual orienteering competition held at Dunstaffnage on Friday.
A total of 71 pupils from Achaleven, Kilninver, Arinagour, Kilchrenan, Taynuilt and Barcaldine primaries took part in the event organised by Active Schools and Stramash Outdoor Nursery. Prizes were awarded to the quickest children who found all 12 markers laid around Dunstaffnage using their maps. The results are as follows:
Big Schools Shield: 1. Taynuilt primary, 2. Kilninver primary.
Small Schools Cup: 1. Barcaldine primary, 2. Arinagour primary, 3. Kilchrenan primary, 4. Achaleven primary.
Winners of each age category are as follows.
P4 boys: Archie MacLeod, Kilninver primary. P4 girls: Freya Davis, Arinagour primary.
P5 boys: Sam Love, Kilchrenan primary. P5 girls: Erin MacMillan, Taynuilt primary.
P6 boys: Connor Coombes, Barcaldine primary. P6 girls: Katie MacDonald, Taynuilt primary.
P7 boys: Gregor Warnock, Kilninver primary. P7 girls: Sophie Houston, Taynuilt primary.
