The body of a man who has been missing since the start of April has been found.

Police Scotland have confirmed that the body of a man was recovered from the water in the Ardaneaskan area on Saturday morning (May 6).

The body was found by the Police Scotland helicopter which had been deployed as part of searches for James Fewell, known as Bruce, 62, who was last seen in the Plockton area on Saturday April 8, 2017.

Mr Fewell’s family has been notified but the formal identification of the body has not yet taken place.

Police Scotland operational support officers as well as the Kyle of Lochalsh RNLI assisted in the recovery.
