Between 11.10am and 1.05pm on Monday April 10, in Albany Street, Oban, a blue Fiat Punto car was damaged by being scratched on the driver’s door. Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them.
About 4.35pm on Tuesday April 11, a house in Hynish Crescent, Oban, was searched by police. A 19-year-old man was allegedly found to be in possession of cannabis and was charged with being concerned in the supply of drugs. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Driver on phone
At 5.15pm on Tuesday April 11, on Glengallan Road, Oban, police stopped a car as the driver, a man aged 19, was allegedly using his mobile phone. The man was charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
ON Thursday April 13, at 2.30pm on Lorn Road, Dunbeg, a man aged 53 was stopped and searched by police. He was allegedly found to be in possession of a small amount of cannabis and he was issued with a recorded police warning.
An incident occurred around 5.45pm on Wednesday April 12, on the B844 on the Isle of Seil, whereby a Ford Focus collided with a wall, causing minor injuries to the driver. Subsequently, the driver, a 72-year-old man, was charged with careless driving. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
On the afternoon Tuesday April 11, a two-vehicle collision occurred on the A816 near Kilmore. The vehicles’ occupants suffered only minor injuries but the road was blocked due to the position of the cars. One lane was re-opened about 2.20pm and the road was closed again between 3.15pm and 3.50pm to allow for recovery of the vehicles.
AT 11.45pm on Friday April 14, in Rhuvall Road, Oban, a man aged 36 was charged with possession of an air weapon without being the holder of a certificate. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
A 35-year-old man was arrested for alleged drink driving and driving without insurance on Sunday April 16, at Tobermory, Mull.
The man was later charged and a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
