Islanders competing at this year’s NatWest Island Games will be announced this week and the Scottish Salmon Company has confirmed it will continue as the team’s main sponsor.
The company will sponsor the Western Isles Island Games Association (WIIGA) which will compete against 23 other countries in Sweden.
The week-long international event is being hosted by Gotland this year between June 24 and June 30.
WIIGA will take a squad of 90 to 100 people to the games including athletes, coaches and a medical team, and expects to be accompanied by family members.
The games provide an opportunity for island athletes to compete at a high level in an international event.
The Gotland organisers expect more than 3,000 people to participate.
