Oban’s Abi Evans battled it out against England last Saturday in Scotland Women’s
penultimate six nations match.
Evans came on as a substitute in the second half, in an attempt to overhaul a disappointing first 40 minutes.
Scotland’s women found themselves 40-0 down at the break, and Evans and her teammates could only slow the onslaught, with the match ending 64-0. Evans, who plays for Hillhead Jordanhill, replaced winger Lauren Harris. She was one of four changes made to the squad that defeated Wales 15-14 last week.
Scotland’s women, who are sitting on three points, will take on bottom-of-the-table Italy tomorrow (Friday).
